US Web sites start online slip reservations

Marinalife and SlipLease.com officials yesterday announced the launch of a joint online boat slip reservation service that boaters can access through www.SlipLease.com.
The new system allows boaters to locate marinas along the East Coast and in the Bahamas and request slip reservations online, with plans to expand throughout the United States over the next year.

"Our mission at Marinalife is to make the slip reservation process even easier and this joint effort brings us closer to our goal".
Officials said in six steps, boaters can log onto www.SlipLease.com or www.marinalife.com to select available slip locations based on certain criteria and request reservations online. Boaters can also use this function to search for different amenities including fuel, swimming pool, and nearby restaurants.
"We understand the frustrations boaters can experience when trying to make a slip reservation over the phone. It can be a lengthy, tedious process. By bringing the expertise of the Marinalife Online Marine Reservation System and SlipLease.com together, it allows us to facilitate this procedure for our clients", said Kelly Drum, president of BoatStation.com, Inc., the parent company of SlipLease.com.
Marinalife, LLC, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, is an Internet-based marine reservation software company, supplying marinas and boaters with online boat slip reservation systems. The Web-based system allows marinas to control slip inventory, track existing customers and manage pending reservations.
